Hiking away in Switzerland...

Slowly, but steadily, my time in Switzerland is coming to its end...and although it was tough in the beginning and a little bit difficult to adapt to long working hours and a whole lot more responsability, the last few weeks were simply amazing. Weekend trips with friends to Lausanne and Zurich, lazy afternoons on the lake side, great food, especially the tartare de boeuf with truffel oil, boat trips and  new friends who hopefully will come and visit me in Heidelberg :)
And if this wasn´t enough, the hike up and around the Oeschinensee in the Berner Oberland compensated for all the long working hours and most of the other things I first disliked about my time in Switzerland :). Only 1 1/2 hours by car from Neuchâtel, we found ourselves surrounded by snow-clad mountains, typical wooden mountain houses and cows grazing along with their bells ringing. About six hours (and a pair of broken hiking boots) later, we were completely stoked by the simple beauty of nature....
I let the pictures speak for themselves.....
