Autumn recipe
Autumn is arriving along with the first chilly days (although for the moment we enjoy some warming sunshine) .
So it is the very perfect moment to start on some typical autumn recipes... I became very ambitious in cooking since I got back from France :-)
After last week´s great pumpkin vegetable soup, I tried a new pumpkin based recipe - green salad topped with pumpkin, tofu and peppers fried in hot spices, all nicely decorated by a pinch of parmesan cheese.
Have a look!

La Villa - in the Italian alps
Two weeks in the Dolomite Alps: two hundred German students invading a small mountain village surrounded by beautiful scenery for a summer academy. Wise thoughts were nourrished by impressive rock formations, mountain torrents, traditional houses and lush green meadows with cows. All this beautiful setting was brought to perfection by the peal of bells of the cows...two weeks in a different world!

Charming Venice
Although I only spent a few hours in Venice and although some mean abdominal cramping complicated the trip, I was still immediately captured by Venice´s charm - once I escaped the flocks of tourists and wandered through some smaller alleys, I was inspired by the coloured houses, the Italian laissez-faire style (so antithetic to clean and tidy Germany), the distinct smell of the channels, the gondolas, the pigeons and all of Venice´s romantic squares and alleys.
A day in charming Venice - enjoy....

Bordeaux-mon amour
Bordeaux was my home for six incredible months - six months full of red wine, beautiful scenery, inumerable walks through the city, wonderful new people, awesome roommates, really good French food, nice cafés and bars, impromptu picnics all over the city, afternoons in the park, concerts in the streets, lovely weekend trips, adventurous wild camping on the beach, french style parties...and so much more!
Bordeaux, I love you!

Ouddorp- the isle of rest
A few days all secluded on the Dutch coast....a few good books, fresh sea food and honey waffles, some sunshine and the wind of the sea...always a good treat!
I cant count the vacations I spent in the Netherlands, it is like a second home to me, I open the door to the holiday house, and there I am, all there and relaxed. I love the Dutch wind, the unforseeable weather conditions, the "stroop waffels", the "kreften vlees", the Dutch language and all the friendly Dutch people...perfect for a week of rest!
